Just finished watching this quirky movie and loved it.
(Art imitates life and furnishes a release for emotions that we don't have to act on ourselves!)
God, I hate where the exclamation point is on the keyboard! I really want to shoot it!!!!!!!!

"The Medussa Touch"

Okay, I just saw this old movie late one night recently. Did anyone else wonder if Bin Laden saw this movie and if this is where he got the idea for the attack on the twin towers? The sight of the plane flying into the apartment building was, to say the least, eerie. Also, the matching towers at the Bristol Cathedral where the final scene is done (evil collapsing the church), took me further down the path of life imitating art.
Not a great movie, but I did think that Richard Burton did a fine acting job.

What have we accomplished

Or, more precisely, should accomplishment be a goal?
What was made better by what I have done?

The only good I can do is a kindness to someone else, without any idea of accomplishing any betterment from that kindness. Selfless sacrifice of an immediate nature.
A temporary balm for Satan's wounds-if that be my destiny.

As for the diverging paths

The branch lay across my drive this morning. For what purpose or reason I did not know. But yet this has brought me to my standstill. Do I move the branch that impedes my way and continue on my daily dues with only time being the injured party? Is this time taken from me to delay my progress to meaningful events, or, perhaps, demons that have slept late and are just now preparing for my arrival. Being such a small branch, should I run over it in my car and thus foil what fate time has in mind for me on this day. Or should I, as I am too often prone to, lie beside said branch and ask of it these questions? Ah, for the pondering of two paths diverging in the wood shall again be delayed on this day. I first must discourse with my branch, for surely my life happiness and eternal destiny does lie across my drive.

ACC Expansion?

Ideally N. D., but if not,
Bite the bullet ACC. Ask Conn. and Rutgers to join.
North Div.----Syr.,Conn., Rutgers, Boston College, Maryland, Virginia, V. Tech, Pitt.
South Div.----Miami, Fla. State, Ga. Tec., Clemson, and four NC schools.
Football--play seven games in division.  This will leave room for schools to be more flexible with their scheduling and keep old rivalries intact. They would have the option of scheduling more games against the other division teams if they care to, but only seven in division games will be used to decide division champion. (North versus South in the championship game.--Might make for some interesting cheers??)
 Basketball--Home and home in division, but only one game against other division teams.  ACC tournament to be scheduled to have a North and South team meet in championship game.
This will help with travel expenses, encourage regional rivalries and allow flexibility in schedule to allow existing rivalries to continue.
This big twelve stuff just doesn't make any sense.
To some this regional stuff might seem old fashioned, but maybe , with a four team playoff for the national champion, old fashioned is the way to go.
